Copyright & Image Usage Agreement
Effective from: June 2025

Location: Monto, Queensland, Australia
1. Copyright & Ownership
All photographs taken by CPB Livestock Photography remain the intellectual and creative property of the photographer. Copyright is not transferred to any individual or business upon purchase of images unless expressly agreed to in writing and subject to a copyright release fee.
2. Usage Rights – Business Clients (e.g. Studs, Breeders, Sale Listings)
When images are purchased by a business (e.g. a livestock breeder), that business is granted a non-exclusive license to use the images in:
Sale catalogues
Business-owned social media accounts
Business websites
Printed promotional material
On-property signage
You may not:
Share images with third-party businesses or organisations (e.g. rural supply companies, feed brands, breed societies) for use in their marketing, advertising, or websites.
Upload or submit the images to external publications or magazines without prior approval.
Allow any third party to use the image without written permission and payment of a copyright release fee to CPB Livestock Photography.
Example: If a feed company wishes to use an image in their advertising, they must contact CPB Livestock Photography directly and pay a commercial licensing fee.
3. Usage Rights – Events & Private Purchases
Images purchased from events (e.g. shows, competitions) are for private use only. This includes:
Personal printing (e.g. for home display)
Posting on social media accounts (with credit/tag to CPB Livestock Photography encouraged)
You may not:
Use event images for business or commercial promotion
Sell or distribute images to any business, organisation, or publication
Upload to sales websites or business pages
Use images in any paid advertising or sponsored post
Remove, crop, or cover watermarks on proofs
If you wish to use any event image for commercial purposes, please contact CPB Livestock Photography to discuss appropriate licensing fees.
4. Editing, Filters & Image Integrity
To preserve the quality, integrity, and reputation of CPB Livestock Photography, the following conditions apply:
You may not edit, crop, add filters, or manipulate the photos in any way that alters the image’s composition, lighting, or colours.
Resizing for web or print is permitted, but no edits should be made beyond that.
Black and white conversions or branded overlays (e.g. your own watermark) are not permitted.
If you require alternate edits, please request these directly from CPB Livestock Photography.
5. Watermarks, Screenshots & Theft
Watermarked proof images provided during selection are not to be screenshotted, shared, or published in any way. Doing so breaches copyright law.
Unauthorised use of CPB Livestock Photography images — including screenshotting watermarked images, downloading without purchase, or using without licensing — may result in legal action and fines of up to $2,500 per image, in accordance with Australian copyright law.
6. Attribution (Optional but Appreciated)
When sharing CPB Livestock Photography images on social media, a credit/tag is appreciated but not required. Tagging helps small businesses grow and supports continued photography services for the livestock industry.

7. Agreement
By purchasing or using any image from CPB Livestock Photography, you agree to the above terms and acknowledge that all images remain the intellectual property of the photographer unless a formal release has been issued.
